Conservative dentistry

Composite fillings (restorations) are made inside the patient's mouth, so the tooth is reconstructed by using the adhesive dentistry techniques. As amalgam fillings belong to the past and are no longer used, we replace them with the composite or ceramic fillings.

Ceramic fillings, which are typically referred to as inlay, onlay and overlay, are custom-made in a dental laboratory from impressions of a patient's teeth and they are, afterwards, cemented onto the tooth. These dental fillings are used to restore the defects, in which a large part of the tooth substance needs to be reconstructed and there is no need for filing down the tooth in order to attach a ceramic filling to a crown.
